REXBURG—Come if you dare to Hemming Village’s “Hocus Pocus At Halloween Town” event on October 29th from 5-9 pm. Admission is free to this family-friendly event.

Hemming Village plans to provide families with trick-or-treating, scavenger hunts, a rock climbing wall, professional storytelling, performances from the Sanderson Sisters (from Hocus Pocus), a “Spider and Snakes” exhibit, giveaways, rides, and other “carnival-like” activities.

Hemming Village will also bring visitors into the world of Hocus Pocus and Halloween Town through decorations and several different character meet-ups. Disney villains will also make appearances to additionally set the scene.

Hemming Village’s residents (business between S Second W and S First West Street, and also Kainoas) will stay open during the event. Several food trucks will be offered as well.

“This year will be bigger and better than ever before!” Hemming Village’s Director of Administration and Events Cami Willis said. “This is Hemming Village’s eleventh year doing the event, and things just keep getting better! The Hemming family loves holidays, and Halloween is one of our favorites.”

Roughly 3,000-4,500 visitors attend the event every year. The event was canceled last year due to the pandemic, but Hemming Village plans to start hosting events once again starting with “Hocus Pocus At Halloween Town.” Hemming Village hosts a Christmas event as well.

“My favorite part about the event is watching everyone come and enjoy the festivities,” Cami Willis said. “It is fun to see the different ways that visitors celebrate Halloween.”
