RIGBY—If you’re in search of a family-friendly Halloween event, look no further. This Saturday, October 23, Southeast Idaho Carnivals and Events is hosting their debut event, a Halloween-themed carnival. Co-founders Jess Jensen and Silver Edwards wanted to provide the community with opportunities to come together and have fun.

Entry is $1 OR an item of canned food to donate per person. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Rigby South Park (commonly known as the Pirate Park), there will be activities such as mini train rides, a fire show from local magician Ainsley Fergason, tons of fun classic carnival games, face painting, a treasure hunt, trick-or-treating and more! In my interview with Jensen, she expressed her excitement about including some childhood favorites such as the donut on a string game and a pie-eating contest. The event staff will be in costume and guests are free to show off their Halloween spirit as well.

SEI Carnivals and Events has exciting things in the works for 2022 as well, including a masquerade ball in January and a fantasy-themed week-long event in March. Jess and Edwards are excited to bring their ideas to life for the community and hope to see you there.
