REXBURG — Kennedy King is a local photographer in Rexburg who loves capturing couples, pregnancy, labor, little ones, and end of life. As the owner of Kennedy King Photography, she also excels at landscapes, buildings, and advertisements.

“Ever since I was a little girl, I have been obsessed with capturing the beautiful and awe inspiring things in the world,” King says. “From skies to candid moments, to whatever inspires emotions in myself. I always take mental pictures of those images, but began borrowing people’s phones and cameras when I was around 12 and then bought myself a camera at 18.”

King’s sister, a professional photographer herself, has shown King the ropes and encouraged her to find her own style. King has dreamed for years of the day when she would be able to open her own business and share her talents with others. She says she could not be more thrilled that her dream is now a reality. Her enthusiasm permeates into her work and can be seen on the smiles of her subjects.

“I have countless hours of practice and ideas of people and things that I want to capture in the future,” King says. She says she is looking forward to expanding her portfolio, learning new things, and helping others remember the important moments in life.
