Global Youth Service Day – Highway Cleanup
JustServe in conjunction with Youth Service America has organized a service project in our local area for Global Youth Service Day on April 27. Families are invited to participate. To learn more visit JustServe.org.
Global Youth Service Day is the longest-running annual youth participation event in the world and the only one that asks all youth ages 5-25 to work together for the common good while also recognizing the impact youth make on their communities every day of the year.
Global Youth Service Day Road Side Clean Up
April 27, 2024, 8:00 AM
We will be cleaning sections of Hwy 20 and Hwy 33.
Meet at a hub at 8:00 am; be back to hub by 10:30 am.
Rexburg Hub areas are:
Hampton Inn (South Rexburg)
Bond Avenue (North Rexburg)
3000 West Hwy 33 (Zollingers Repair Lot)
At Hub areas vests and bags will be handed out, liability waivers must be filled out and handed in and road assignments will be given to each volunteer. The following safety rules will be addressed:
All participants must sign a liability waiver. Waivers can be found in the Files section of this group. All those under the age of 18 must have a liability waiver signed by a parent to participate! You are responsible for your personal safety.
Wear bright clothing, BRING GLOVES, friends and family.
At cleanup location pull vehicle completely off the road and keep small children off the shoulder.
Make sure bags are tied shut.
