REXBURG —Meet Fluffy, this week’s Rexburg Commons Adoptable Pet of the Week.

Fluffy came to the Rexburg Animal Shelter as a stray a few weeks ago. Rexburg Animal Control Officer Scott Chapman says he believes Fluffy is between 10-12 months old, and a German Shepherd, Rottweiler mix.

Chapman says Fluffy is energetic but very smart and trainable. During my visit at the shelter, I witnessed Fluffy’s eagerness to cooperate with his people. He is a very good-natured dog.

Fluffy was great with my 5-year-old daughter when we went to meet him, and Chapman says that when he brings his own kids to the shelter, Fluffy has been great with them, too.

“He’s a dang good boy,” Chapman says. “And he gets along with other dogs as long as they’re not bullying him. He’s not gonna pick a fight, but he’s not gonna back down.”

Chapman says Fluffy is super active and willing to be obedient, but that he could use more training.

“He’s very trainable—really smart,” Chapman says. “He just needs a good chance.”

If you’d like to meet Fluffy or his other adoptable friends, head over to the Rexburg Animal Shelter at 400 N 5th W.
