REXBURG — A pet store is coming to Rexburg! Custom Creatures is a pet shop that deals with everything from hedgehogs to axolotls and more, all ready for you to take home. 

“If it’s sold, we can probably get it,” said owner Jordan Moores.

Jordan and Maureen Moores have owned Custom Creatures in Phoenix, Ariz., for 23 years and are excited to share their expertise with Rexburg.

Both owners were born and raised in the Rexburg area. They love the area and the people, and they believe that Custom Creatures will fill a hole in Rexburg that has needed to be filled for a long time. 

“We have debated this for over a decade and decided to make it happen,” Jordan said. 

Jordan and Maureen are all about the animals. They work to educate people about sustaining wild populations and how to protect their habitats. They support captive breeding programs and want to build awareness on how to preserve these animals for future generations. 

“It’s all about good experiences with the animals,” Jordan said.

Custom Creatures sells many different pets that are perfect for beginners as well as pets that require more experience to take care of. 

“We carry something for everybody,” Jordan said. After all, Custom Creatures’ motto is “All for pets, pets for all.” 

Reptiles such as tortoises and snakes will be available at their store, along with amphibians, small mammals, spiders and tarantulas, marsupials and many more animals!

They also accept surrenders, donations and rescues free of charge.

Additionally, they sell cages, live and frozen feed and other supplies to help care for the pets. If they do not have what someone is looking for in stock, they can order it for them.

The store will be located at 28 College Avenue in Rexburg. They plan to open for business before the end of March, and their tentative hours will be Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 12 to 5 p.m.
