REXBURG, Idaho—At 70 W. Main Street in Rexburg sits Intrinsic Massage and Wellness, a massage clinic that adds some sunshine to their self-care. With many services to choose from including but not limited to deep tissue massages, tanning, aromatherapy, prenatal massages, cupping, and hot stones, with esthetics and nail services in the works, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Jeanette Belisle started the business in March 2019. She started out as an education major at Brigham Young University-Idaho. Realizing that her passion lay elsewhere, Jeanette took a break from school and moved into an apartment off campus. Little did she know that the perfect opportunity was waiting for her just across the street. She soon discovered her love for massage therapy and graduated from the Rexburg College of Massage Therapy.

Jeanette gained a few years of experience with another company before leaving the nest and starting her own business. She started in her spare bedroom and the company has blossomed into a successful business, complete with its friendly staff and new location.

Chris and Jeanette Belisle, owners

Jeanette and her husband Chris were married in October of 2020 and they now own the business together.  Jeanette admires her husband’s constant support and credits him for the business growing as much as it has in the past couple of years. Chris runs the technical and construction aspects of the business, creating the website, and heading up the renovations and remodeling at their new location. Their combined knowledge and experience of both beauty and brawn keeps the company running smoothly.

Intrinsic Massage moved into their Main Street location in September of 2021. The Belisles got right to work on the redesign, remodeling, and renovation of the rooms, transforming the outdated areas into the chic and modern space they have now. They have been progressing nicely with two of their massage rooms finished and aim to have their reception room done by the middle to end of March.

With four rooms left to go and the addition of a pedicure station that the Belisles hope to be completed this summer, the whole team is excited for the future of Intrinsic Massage. It should be noted that while they do have rooms being worked on, they have fully furnished rooms done and are openly accepting appointments!

Many people hesitate when it comes to self-care and treating themselves. In our virtual interview, Jeanette eloquently explained just how worth it it is to listen to/take care of your body.

“So many people suffer from headaches, back and shoulder pain, sciatic pain, and lots of other pains,” Jeanette said. “Our daily habits are so hard on our bodies, and sometimes we don’t even realize it until we experience some relief from it. Massage is a great way to help our muscles loosen up and release some of that tension that we just naturally hold onto. When you’re in less pain, you can focus on the things you actually enjoy in life!”

Jeanette, Chris, and the Intrinsic Massage staff invite you to join them on Saturday, March 26th to celebrate the company’s third birthday and the progress made on the remodeling. The event goes from 6-8 p.m. The first 20 people get a free massage and there will be raffles, treats, and an overall good time!

Intrinsic Massage is located at 70 West Main Street. You can visit their website at https://www.intrinsicmassage3.com/ to read more about them or make an appointment.

Jeanette and the team can’t wait to introduce you to a whole new world of self care, stress relief, and body positivity, so you can find your “calm within the chaos.”
