REXBURG—Rexburg voters are invited to get to know the candidates in the upcoming City Council election as they play a game of election-themed Jeopardy. The event is this Saturday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Madison Jr. High, 134 Madison Ave., Rexburg.
All but one of the candidates will be in attendance. Candidate Luke Walker will be away on military duty.
The event is hosted by the Madison County Republican Women and the 76 Project. According to the group’s Facebook page, “The goal of The 76 Project is to inform, educate and activate citizens to become influential locally—in our cities, counties, and school boards.”
Madison County Republican Women Chapter President Elaine King says that each candidate will have the opportunity to reveal a new question from the Jeopardy board or answer one already revealed.
The categories will include:
Why Am I Running?
Citizenship
Government Transparency and Accountability
Taxation
Property Rights
Public Health
Power to the People (screened audience questions)
Rexburg Trivia
The event will be emceed by Madison Central Committee Chairman Randy Sutton and Daniel Brigman.
