Christmas in Victor – Christmas Tree Lighting
From organizer Pam Malone-Walker:
I am working with the City of Victor to develop a Christmas Tree lighting on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 5:30 pm at Victor City Park. This will follow the Christmas parade at 5:00 p.m.
This community event needs some community participation and I’m hoping you can all help make this event a success.
SHATTERPROOF ORNAMENTS
We are seeking donated SHATTERPROOF (plastic) ornaments for the tree.
Our tree is around 15 feet in height so we will need a lot of them.
Black bins will be set up outside of Victor City Hall on Monday, November 1 where donated ornaments can be dropped off from then until November 19,
STAGE LIGHTS
We are also looking for exterior lights for the stage (can be contractor lights) to use on Saturday night. There will be several choirs performing on stage that need to be illuminated. If you have worklights that you would like to donate OR some that we can BORROW FOR THE EVENING, please contact Pam Walker at skiandhikethetetons@gmail.com
Donated exterior lights can also be dropped off at the bins at City Hall.
A big thanks to the City of Victor and Fall River Rural Electrical Cooperative who are integral parts of this event.
CARPENTER
November 28 is the start of Hannukah. We need help building a large wooden Menorah to also celebrate this holiday event! Wood will be supplied if needed!
VOLUNTEERS
If you would like to help put hangers on the ornaments on Monday, November 29, please also contact me at skiandhikethetetons@gmail.com
FOOD AND DRINK VENDORS
Butter/Wanderlust have already signed up to do hot chocolate, coffee and atole (a Mexican Christmas Special), all hot beverages.
Street Food will be doing tamales and buenelos out of the food truck.
If you are a vendor in good standing with the City of Victor and would like to partiipate, please contact Michelle Smith at Victor City Hall. Other organizations are welcome to participate but need to work with Michelle to obtain a food permit. Email her at michelles@victorcityidaho.com or call: 208-787-2940
Please check the Teton Valley News on Wednesday, November 24 and Dec. 1 for all the details. And please mark your calendars to come welcome in the holiday season!
