REXBURG — A common misconception among college students in Rexburg is that there are no good places to eat.

However, New York Times writer Ed Levine reports that fine cuisine sits right under our noses.

Levine called Righteous Slice “a world-class… New York-style” pizzeria. The restaurant is nestled on the corner of West 2nd South and South 2nd West, a gem hidden among the bustling streets of popular BYU-I student housing.

The New York Times praises the quality of this humble pizza shop.

“With a proper char on the bottom, the slices stand up to a fold. They are topped with low-moisture whole mozzarella…the sauce carries the perfect faint sweetness of high-quality canned and steamed tomatoes,” said Levine.

Comparable to pizza straight out of New York, Righteous Slice pizza draws quite a crowd of pizza connoisseurs and amateur tasters alike. Regardless of their level of pizza expertise, the demand for a quality slice continues to grow.

BYU-I’s Scroll covered Righteous Slice’s spotlight in The New York Times, praising the awards they have received and attributing their growth to their delicious pizza.

“According to Crawford [the founder of Righteous Slice], Righteous Slice’s New York-style pizza has been the main source of growth for the restaurant in the past three years,” said Scroll writer Ryan Turner.

So, the next time you think there’s nowhere to eat in Rexburg, don’t forget about the world-class pizzeria right next to campus.
