Since 2007, Rexburg Community Theatre has produced over 30 shows and continues to share the joy of theater across Rexburg. The theatre is a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing family theatre to the community. The community theatre firmly believes that theatre is for everyone and is excited to grow the RCT family in the coming years.

Ann Cluff, co-president of the program, describes the RCT experience: “You can relax, enjoy the night and leave with good memories with you and your kids.”

Cluff is passionate about creating atmospheres and productions that are positive and age appropriate. She is one of the three founders of the nonprofit program and has done it all—costumes, vocals, acting, and directing.

Rexburg Community Theatre is putting on three shows during 2025. Right now, the theatre is rehearsing Mary Poppins with performances June 27, 28, and 30. Later in the year, the community can look forward to seeing Twelfth Night and A Christmas Carol.

Cluff says the theatre is incredibly excited for its upcoming show of Mary Poppins. An American classic, RCT is excited to do the production justice. The Mary Poppins musical features the original 1964 Sherman Brothers songs as well as newer, additional music.

Come enjoy a night full of singing, dancing, and theatre magic. RCT’s adaptation of the musical features a flying Mary Poppins and Miss Andrews. This exciting tech addition is a labor of love and hard work from not only the actors but the whole production crew. From costumes to tech crew to actors, there is a role for everyone. That is the beauty of community theatre.

Cluff encourages people of all walks of life and interests to audition for upcoming shows throughout the year. “We want to include people in a really fun way and maybe they find talents they didn’t know they had.”

RCT embodies the importance of community theatre. This program welcomes everyone into their creative space, allowing the community to participate in theater outside of academic or professional settings. The theatre aspires to eventually establish its own venue here in Rexburg, increasing its outreach across the community and sharing the magic of theatre.
