REXBURG — With the popularity of food trucks in the United States rising, Brigham Young University-Idaho has decided to join the bandwagon with a food truck of their own.

Opened in the Fall semester of 2024, the Offroad Grill offers students a new and affordable eating option.

Kiera Andersen, a second semester freshman, recommends that students give the Offroad Grill a try.

“It was really good [and] high quality…I would totally go back,” said Andersen.

The truck offers breakfast in the morning and lunch options in the afternoon. Breakfast burritos, French toast, and cinnamon rolls are commonly ordered morning items, while the afternoon offers burgers, quesadillas, and deep-fried cookie dough.

Andersen also discussed the quality service of the Offroad Grill.

“The service was nice, quick and efficient” Andersen said.

When students find the service a little slow, the truck plays all kinds of music for people to enjoy while they wait.

Josie Puckett, a recent BYU-Idaho graduate and returning customer of the Offroad Grill, suggests that there should be more locations across campus to allow more people to try out the new truck.

“There should be three trucks around campus to make it more convenient for the students who are across campus from where the truck is,” said Puckett.

Finding the Offroad Grill may not always be easy. The truck, usually located in the STC parking lot, has also been spotted at BYU-Idaho run festivals, and even near the Manwaring Center.

If you are looking for a new place to try, stop by the STC or Manwaring Center anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
