REXBURG—If you’re in the mood for “a meal to remember,” head to the Teton Lakes Golf Course to visit 9 Iron Grill. Recently opened June 1st, 2021, 9 Iron Grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
9 Iron Grill is owned by Clint and Whitney Gee, both born and raised in Rexburg. The two have always loved cooking for friends and they decided to turn it into a business, naming it after a type of golf club, and the flat-top grill they use to cook on.
This restaurant is open 7 days a week, serving a full, hot breakfast as well as alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Among their variety of menu items, one favorite is the finger steaks and shrimp with fries.
“A lot of people love our shrimp,” says Whitney.
The food at 9 Iron Grill is fresh, with ingredients purchased locally about once a week.
“We like to do everything local as much as we can,” Whitney says. “We want to help out our community so we get a lot of our meat from fresh, local companies.”
As well as not cooking old food, 9 Iron Grill does not utilize microwaves. Whitney commented on her husband’s stance of not having microwaves in the restaurant.
“We are absolutely not microwaving anything for anybody. It’s going to be fresh and hot,” she says.
The city has plans to add a deck onto the clubhouse where the restaurant is located. 9 Iron Grill anticipates using that space for outdoor seating and live music.
“We want it to be a fun place for family and friends to all come together and enjoy a good meal,” Whitney says.
Whether you’re looking for good food or a good time, make your way down to 9 Iron Grill and enjoy.
