REXBURG—”From The Heart” Choir invites all to come to the Christian musical fireside “Trust in the Lord.” The choir performs every Sunday from 7-8 p.m. through Dec. 5, excluding Thanksgiving weekend. The choir gathers in the chapel at 166 S. First East Street (across the street from Windsor Manor). Admission is free.
“From The Heart” Choir’s program is based on Psalm 147: 1, 3-5. The Bible verse states: “Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God…great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.”
“From The Heart” Choir is a non-denominational missionary choir dedicated to providing “a fun, uplifting, Christ-centered experience.” The choir performs different programs every semester.
Choir members are looking forward to being able to share what they have been working on.
“My favorite part of being in the choir is feeling the unity and spreading the love of Christ,” choir member Clarissa Wood said.
“I love the people that I get to work with in the choir while I perform and practice this music,” Musical Director Amicherie Rodgers said. “To sing with a group of people who all have unique experiences and challenges allows the music praising our Savior to heal us and to strengthen our testimonies together. This is closely tied with just getting the chance to celebrate my faith in Christ by performing songs that allow me to feel his love… it’s a new chance to experience songs you wouldn’t know otherwise.”
More information about current and future programs can be found through the choir’s Instagram account.
