REXBURG — Crush Artisanal Drinks, a local Rexburg restaurant serving boba and other specialty drinks, will be hosting a crepe eating contest between Mayor Jerry Merrill and other members of the community Saturday at 2 p.m.
The event will be part of the Rexburg Restaurant Rush week hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
“We were super excited to support this community initiative as well as just throw events always because we love throwing events here,” said Jennifer Kim, the co-owner of Crush Artisanal Drinks.
The crepe eating contest won’t be the only event Crush will be hosting for Restaurant week. Other events include a dance with live music on Friday at 7 p.m.
“We wanted to create an inclusive space for everybody so it made a lot of sense for when we were brainstorming what we wanted to do for Restaurant Week to have like a diverse set of experiences,” Kim said.
Kim said she is looking forward to the contest on Saturday.
“I don’t even know what to expect,” Kim said. “I just know Rexburg has a great mayor. He’s a great sport so we’re really excited for that.”
